Available Positions

Buckno Lisicky & Company seeks Full Time Paraprofessional with QB experience and thorough knowledge of accounting processes. This position requires a professional and upbeat individual who enjoys working with all kinds of people, demonstrates excellent customer service and analytical and problem solving skills. Also able to perform a wide range of tasks and projects while working well under pressure. Individual must be comfortable in a friendly but fast paced environment, and have the ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform bookkeeping and accounting services for multiple clients as directed by client shareholder.
  • Monitor daily cash flow for clients.
  • Reconcile daily Credit Card and Cash deposits.
  • Prepare bank and investment reconciliations.
  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue and expense journal entries.
  • Prepare financial statements.
  • Prepare and file sales, use tax, quarterly payroll returns.
  • Assemble tax returns.
  • Prepare BPT as needed for clients.
  • Assist with any additional projects as needed for clients.

Buckno Lisicky & Company seeks experienced accountant to join our fast growing audit department. We are seeking talented individuals who are team players, have a desire to succeed, and are dedicated to providing superior client service.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist shareholders on all aspects of audit engagements (audit planning, fieldwork, and wrap up).
  • Analyze and prepare financial statements.
  • Understanding of audit methodology and risk assessment including evaluating internal controls.
  • Handle moderately complex audit engagements.
  • Development of audit documents, work papers, and preparation of client documents.
  • Proactively interact with clients to gather information, resolve audit-related problems, make recommendations, etc.
  • Help others develop professionally through coaching.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • CPA license
  • 3 + years’ experience in public accounting, or similar experience in industry
  • Experience using Profx Engagement
  • Proficient in Audit using PPC Smart Practice Auditing software
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of corporate, partnership, individual and trust tax returns.
  • Research and complete assignments involving basic tax issues in the areas of corporate, partnership, individual, payroll and sales tax.
  • Field client calls, emails and other requests.
  • Anticipate the possible problem areas of an engagement.
  • Draft responses to tax notices and other technical correspondence.
  • Proactively interact with clients to gather information, resolve problems, make recommendations.

Buckno Lisicky & Company is seeking a FT Receptionist for the upcoming tax season in the Lehighton area. FT day shift hours starting Mid- January 2024 and lasting though tax season Mid-April 2024 with the possibility of rehiring for future tax seasons. This position requires a polished, professional and upbeat individual who enjoys working with all kinds of people, demonstrates excellent customer service and telephone skills, and is able to perform a wide range of administrative tasks while working well under pressure.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Answer incoming telephone calls, assist if applicable, forward and transfer calls to appropriate parties in a professional manner. Emphasis placed on projecting warmth, helpfulness and efficiency while on the phone. Must be able to operate a multi-line telephone system.
  • Greet clients and visitors of office in a professional manner. Provide responsive and friendly customer service.
  • Process and assemble tax returns and other client deliverables.
  • Maintain client appointment book for multiple individuals.
  • Receive and deliver incoming faxes.
  • General administrative office skills, including typing, word processing, collating, filing and scanning to electronic file cabinet, and miscellaneous requests.
  • Continually learn administrative tasks as technology changes and is upgraded.
